The population of Viet Nam represents 1.23 percent of the world's total population which represents a large, young and dynamic workforce as well as a strong support for the growth of consumption demand. Viet Nam successfully navigated economic headwinds and geopolitical instability to be one of the countries with high economic growth, reaching 5.05% in 2023. Viet Nam's GDP is forecasted to increase by 6-6.5% in 2024.

With more than 30 years of social economic reforms – Đổi Mới, Viet Nam has moved from being one of the poorest nations in the world to a lower middleincome country with a number of significant socio-economic achievements. Viet Nam has transformed itself with its sights set on becoming a developing, upper-middle-income country with modern industry by 2030 and a high-income, developed country by 2045.
